This is my Story
I have had my own GI history and it is part of what made me want to study the field of nutrition and dietetics. During my training, I was exposed to many digestive health conditions, but I became drawn to working with individuals to help them manage their IBS. During that time, the low FODMAP diet was still very new and more research was starting to mount in its favor. Research was also showing us more about how lifestyle factors can play a significant role in IBS symptoms.
Fast forward to my early clinical experience as a dietitian and I quickly found that there was an overlap between those with IBS and those who experienced food fears or an impaired relationship with food. Throughout my years working within a busy gastroenterology practice and ultimately opening my own private practice back in 2018, I developed and fine tuned my 5-pillar approach to IBS management that aims to help you to manage your IBS symptoms in the least restrictive way possible. After having my practice fill up on multiple occasions and needing to implement waitlist after waitlist, I decided it was time to start an online course with a group coaching style so that I can help more people to learn how to trust their gut again!
